Last Night in Rome!

My last full day and night in Rome!! I went first to the Colosseum, I followed an english tour group around and listened to some of the history, then went around and took pictures. After the Colosseum, I walked up Palentino Hill to a beautiful view of Rome, then on to the Roman Forum to take pictures. I love that you can be walking in the center of Rome, then you'll come upon ruins of something. I had to go to Bocca della Verità (Italian for Mouth of Truth). I didn't know that it was a simple drain cover, and the mouth was formed by rain... Rome has been one big history lesson for me!

I met Mikel at Campo Di Fiore and walked around. We had gelatto, coffee, and just walked and walked. He knows so much about this city. We went in the Pantheon, caught an amazing sunset and then met up with Anna, who was on her way to the flat of a french director. Apparently Giovanni was "dog-sitting" while he was in Paris and we were invited over for dinner. It was a beautiful flat, and Giovanni cooked an amazing dinner. We had good wine, lemoncello and listened to good music! It was a perfect end to my time in Rome. I am so thankful to have met such nice people there, who took time out to show me the city and the history behind it. It is a city that I will always come back to.
