Driving in Tuscany, Lucca and San Gimignano...

What a beautiful day of sightseeing!! We went early to pick up the car and how cute it was!!! So small, a "Smart" car, and she gave us a convertible. It was a really warm day so the top was down until we drove back at night. We went first to Lucca, and it was such a quaint village. I couldn't wait to see the hills of Tuscany though, so we left around 1:00 to San Gimignano. We drove on some of the back roads to see the country side and it was absolutely beautiful. The fog over the hills, the wine fields, farm houses... We arrived in San Gimignano in time for sunset from the bell tower and then took in dinner before heading back for the night. I'm attaching pictures from Tuscany, the church with my little smart car (that had a mind of it's own when it came to driving) and me and Pavel in the car. We arrived back late to Florence and I am so happy I decided to drop the car off at night, rather than today. Driving in Florence is interesting, to say the least!! No more italian driving for me, at least not in the cities!!
